Inaugural RISE Cohort!

PROGRAM DETAILS:

Each member of the RISE cohort will receive 1) a financial grant. and 2) one year of mentorship with seasoned top SFAR agents.

The mentorship component is still to be finalized but will be include 1) monthly two-hour sessions, each with a different top Realtor who will train on an area they specialize in (sales, business operations, personal finances, marketing, mindset/personal development, etc.), followed by discussion and questions/answers, and 2) monthly one-hour sessions as a cohort to build community, share experiences, and troubleshoot together.

Priority will be given to individuals who identify as Black/African/African American and/or Indigenous/Native American and/or Hispanic/Latino/a/Latinx, but any Realtor® from a historically underrepresented community is encouraged to apply.

APPLICATION PROCESS:

Applicants will complete an application and personal statement, plus attach a letter of recommendation from a non-family member who can speak to the applicant’s professional experience.

The RISE Selection Panel has full discretion of who to choose as part of the Cohort.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 18+ years of age

  • High school graduate or equivalent

  • Current resident of the Bay Area

  • Current licensed California DRE Salesperson or Broker

COHORT MEMBERS MUST COMMIT TO:

  • Attend all RISE Grant & Mentorship Program trainings and events

  • Membership with the San Francisco Association of Realtors® (SFAR)

  • Participating in one or more SFAR or real estate-related committee(s) upon completion of Program. (Cohort members are encouraged to participate during the Program, as well, if they can.)

  • Sharing with SFAR's DEI Committee how their grant funds are generally used. (Cohort members will have full self-determined agency to spend the funds as they choose.)

Cohort members who miss two consecutive meetings/events or three over the course of the year may be removed from the program at the discretion of SFAR's DEI Committee.
